Learn How To Make The Bar Room At The Beekman’s Feuille De Brick

The next installment in the Downtown Alliance’s “Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition” comes Thursday, December 16, when Executive Pastry Chef Abby Swain of The Bar Room at the Beekman (5 Beekman Street) shows participants how to make three of their signature desserts: Chocolate Mendiant, Feuille de Brick and Pumpkin Spice Bread.

The virtual tutorial is free and encourages donations to the Beekman’s preferred food-security charity City Harvest

“Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition” is hosted by award-winning chef Rocco DiSpirito and zooms into the kitchens of Lower Manhattan, where chefs share recipes and tips on everything from complex gastronomic delights to go-to comfort foods. Register now to reserve a space for the upcoming Bar Room at the Beekman episode.

The series launched last summer with America’s first restaurant Delmonico’s, followed by a number of dining rooms including Gnoccheria, Taïm, Temple Court and Benares. All previous episodes are available on YouTube.
